RTG Automatic guidance system (AGSS)

System introduction
This system adopts GNSS positioning, GIS technology, wireless communication and PLC electric control system to realize automatic rectification during the gantry traveling of RTG. It enables the RTG to run as if on rails without manual steering correction, reducing driver fatigue and allowing the operator to focus on obstacles and other emergencies on the runway. This effectively improves the safety of gantry traveling and enhances RTG operation efficiency.

System features
• GNSS positioning accuracy: 1 cm + 1 ppm (RMS).
• Gantry traveling deviation: ≤ ±5 cm, ±1°; maximum deviation not exceeding 10 cm.
• Multiple interfaces: ProfiBus, RS232, Ethernet.
• Professional operation and maintenance software: visual UI for convenient daily maintenance and improved system availability.
• Optional functions: safety control for crossing roads outside the yard, restricted area control, and anti-collision with fixed objects in the yard.

Technical advantages
• Satellite positioning technology: high precision, all-weather operation, unaffected by weather conditions and requires no additional reference markers.
• Trajectory prediction: predicts the traveling trend of the gantry based on kinematic characteristics and controls its direction in advance.
• Site GIS compensation: obtains surface slope parameters of the yard combined with GIS information, and eliminates position deviation caused by ground slope through compensation algorithms; compensates crossing lanes to realize automatic rectification during crossing.
• Self-inspection (functional safety): equipped with self-inspection function, sends out alarm messages in case of faults without affecting the normal operation of the original system.
• Scalability: can be integrated with laser ranging technology to realize integrated navigation and rectification.
